What Is FitYou

FitYou is a 501C nonprofit organization founded to serve the elderly community by maintaining the mental and physical health of those involved. According to the CDC, in the US, more than 1 in 4 adults over 50 do not engage in regular physical activity, increasing their risks for heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. FitYou’s mission is to drastically reduce this number through activities tailored toward maintaining seniors’ physical and mental health. By working with organizations such as hospitals, senior centers, and local communities, we will come together and create a safe space for the elderly to maintain themselves and stay fit and healthy.
A healthy body fosters a healthy mind, and FitYou opens a window for seniors to stay champions in life.

We strive to serve the elderly community by helping them stay fit through activities that maintain their neurological and physical health, specifically through Ping Pong, which helps mitigate cognitive decline and promotes physical fitness.

FitYou is committed to improving the health and well-being of Seniors by making all of its programs Free of Cost.

About The Founder

Sue Chakravorty, resident of New Jersey, USA is an International Table Tennis player and coach. She has more than 20 years of experience in Table Tennis. She has won laurels in many national level tournaments. Her major recognitions include representing her country in the Commonwealth Games 2001.

Throughout her career as a player and coach, she has noted the myriad physical and mental benefits that playing Ping Pong can offer. Drawing on her extensive experience in the sport and recognizing its potential for therapy, she has decided to launch Ping Pong sessions for seniors. Working alongside healthcare professionals and doctors, her team aims to provide targeted therapy for those in need.

In addition to its therapeutic benefits, Ping Pong is also a social game. With the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in widespread isolation, seniors have been particularly affected. FitYou USA is committed to creating a welcoming and social environment where seniors can interact and engage with one another while playing Ping Pong.

Recognizing the multitude of positive impacts that Ping Pong can have on both physical and mental well-being, and with a strong desire to make a meaningful contribution to the community, she has committed herself to launching specialized Ping Pong therapy programs aimed specifically at seniors.
